The symptom quiz never leaves your device

This is the part worth saying first, because it's the part people worry about. The symptom quiz and the questions on do I need it run entirely inside your browser. Your answers about desire, fatigue, flatness, concentration, or your lab results are scored on your own device and are never sent anywhere. There's no form submission behind them and no request to any server. I don't see them, I can't see them, and there's nothing for me to store or lose.

So you can answer honestly. That's the whole point of putting it there.

What I collect

Nothing at all unless you subscribe. There's no analytics on this site, no advertising pixels, no tracking of any kind, and no cookies. You can read every article here and leave no trace.

If you do subscribe, I store:

• Your email address, because you typed it in.
• Which page you subscribed from, so I know which writing is actually useful.
• The dates you subscribed and confirmed.
• A country code worked out from your connection. The country only, never your city, your address, or anything finer.
• Two random tokens, one to confirm your subscription and one to unsubscribe you. They exist so those links work without a password.

That's the entire list. No name, no age, no phone number, and nothing at all about your health.

You have to confirm before I email you

Typing your address isn't enough. I send one email asking you to confirm, and if you don't click it, your address sits there inactive and never receives anything else. Someone else typing your address in cannot sign you up.

What I do with it

I send you the article series you signed up for, and occasional new writing about testosterone in women. That's it. I don't sell the list, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anybody, and I don't run advertising against it.

Who else touches it

Two companies, both doing ordinary infrastructure work:

• Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the subscriber list.
• Amazon Web Services delivers the email.

Neither gets the list for their own purposes. There's nothing else: no Google Fonts, no embedded videos, no social widgets, no third-party scripts. The stylesheet is served from this site. That's deliberate, and it's why there's so little to disclose here.

Getting off the list

Every email I send carries a working one-click unsubscribe link, and your mail app's own unsubscribe button works too. Either one removes you immediately, with nothing to fill in and no reason required.

If you'd rather I delete your record outright instead of just stopping the emails, write to [email protected] and I'll do that.

This site is not medical care

I'm a medical technologist. I read the research and write about it, including my own experience, but I'm not your clinician and nothing here is medical advice. Any treatment decision belongs between you and a qualified clinician who knows your history. That's not a disclaimer I'm hiding at the bottom, it's the honest shape of what this site is.

Children

This site is written for adult women. It isn't intended for anyone under 18, and I don't knowingly keep a child's email address.

If this changes

If I ever start collecting something new, this page gets updated before I do it. If I ever added analytics, it would say so here. Right now there's nothing to add, and I like it that way.
